Industry 5.0 (I5.0) has emerged as a value-driven complement to Industry 4.0, prioritizing human-centricity, sustainability, and resilience. Although the construction sector has historically been slow to adopt new paradigms, it remains a sector of strategic relevance for I5.0 adoption. Existing reviews characterize the dimensions and applications of I5.0 in construction but tend to treat contextual factors as scattered observations rather than as a structured analytical lens. This research identifies the context domains relevant for analyzing the adoption of I5.0 in construction and develops a research agenda based on these findings. A tertiary review was conducted of fourteen general review articles on I5.0 and four construction-specific references identified through citation-network snowballing. The synthesis yields an initial framework of seven context domains, categorized into proximal, sectoral, and systemic factors. Four suggested research directions are derived from the same synthesis. The seven context domains provide an initial reference for future research, while the suggested directions identify the areas where empirical evidence is most lacking. This work contributes an initial analytical foundation for shifting Industry 5.0 research from industry-level analyses toward project-level empirical investigation.
